About Roseland .

A BRIEF PRESENTATION FOR A LONG HISTORY

A company born in 1987 with a clear goal: to create dance shows for children and young people with the artistic quality that this audience deserves.

As a result of this dedication, it has been the first children's dance company to receive the National Culture Award in the Dance category 2007. This award was awarded by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The company is committed to creating shows with a long-term vision. During this time, twelve productions have been created: Flit Flit (1990), The house through the window (1997), The thousand and one nights (1999), The Nameless Country (2001), Roseland Canal (2004), Crazy face! (2006), Catalonia Stars (2007), Navy Blue (2009), Pinocchio (2010), Journey to the Center of the Earth (2015), One Day (2017) and Geometry (2019).

In 2010 and, thanks to the audiovisual contribution of the artist Franc Aleu (National Culture Award, Audiovisual category 2012), the company started a radically different artistic language with its show Pinocchio incorporating technology and image as cultural ingredients. This creative language continued in the production Journey to the Center of the Earth, a play co-produced by the GREC 2015 Barcelona Festival and the Sant Andreu Teatre SAT. In 2017, the company created Un dia, a dance piece without text for the little ones.

Geometry is the latest production released in 2019, which interprets geometry using LEDs and 3D projections. +info
