A BRIEF PRESENTATION FOR A LONG HISTORY

Roseland musical is a company with 36 years of experience creating dance shows for children and young people to offer them performances with the artistic quality that this public deserves.

As a result of this dedication, in 2007, it was the first children's dance company to receive the National Culture Award in the category of Dance, awarded by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In 2010, with the show Pinocchio and, thanks to the audiovisual contribution of the artist Franc Aleu (National Culture Award, Audiovisual category 2012), the company started a new artistic language incorporating technology and image as scenographic support. This new artistic language continued in the production Journey to the center of the Earth, a piece co-produced by the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2015 and Sant Andreu Teatre SAT. In 2017, the company created One day, a dance piece without text for children.

More recently, in 2019, Roseland premiered Geometry, an interpretation of geometric shapes incorporating LED lights and 3D projections.

This year 2023, with co-production with the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2023, a new production, I am from here, will be premiered. A show that makes visible on stage the cultural diversity of today's youth. Through different styles of dance and with the support of immersive projections, dance, and social transformation are conveyed in a dynamic and entertaining show. With this last show, Roseland seeks to approach pre-teens and teenagers, a public that often does not have many shows that address them. + info
