Roseland Musical is a company with over 40 years of experience in creating dance performances for children and young audiences, with the aim of offering productions of the highest artistic quality for this audience.

As a result of this commitment, in 2007 it became the first children’s dance company to receive the National Culture Award in the Dance category, granted by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In 2010, with the production Pinocchio, and thanks to the audiovisual contribution of artist Franc Aleu (National Culture Award in Audiovisual, 2012), the company developed a new artistic language incorporating technology and imagery as scenographic elements. This approach continued with Journey to the Center of the Earth, co-produced by the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2015 and Sant Andreu Teatre (SAT!). In 2017, the company created Un dia, a non-verbal dance piece for young children. More recently, in 2019, Geometria premiered—an exploration of geometric forms through LED lighting and 3D projections.

In 2023, in co-production with the Grec Festival de Barcelona, the company premiered Jo soc d’aquí, a performance that brings the cultural diversity of today’s youth to the stage. Through a range of dance styles and immersive projections, the piece explores themes of identity and social transformation in a fresh and engaging way. With this production, Roseland seeks to connect with pre-teens and teenagers, an audience often underrepresented in the performing arts. In 2024, the company celebrates its 40th anniversary with the revival of Pinocchio, one of its most internationally acclaimed productions.
