ABOUT US
Roseland musical is a company with more than 40 years of experience creating dance shows for children and young people with the aim of offering them productions with the artistic quality that this audience deserves.
As a result of this dedication, in 2007, it was the first children's dance company to receive the National Culture Award in the Dance category, awarded by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In 2010, with the show Pinocchio and, thanks to the audiovisual contribution of the artist Franc Aleu (National Culture Award, Audiovisual category 2012), the company began a new artistic language incorporating technology and image as a scenographic support. This new language continued in the production Viatge al centro de la terra, a piece co-produced by the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2015 and the Sant Andreu Teatre SAT. In 2017, the company created Un dia, a dance piece without text for the little ones. More recently, in 2019, the production Geometria was premiered, an interpretation of geometric shapes that incorporates the use of LED lights and 3D projections.
In 2023, in co-production with the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2023, a new production, Jo soc d'aquÃ, will premiere. A show that makes the cultural diversity of today's young people visible on stage. Through different dance styles and with the support of immersive projections, dance and social transformation are conveyed in a fresh and fun show. With this production, Roseland seeks to approach pre-teens and teenagers, an audience that often does not have many shows aimed at them. In 2024, the company celebrates its 40th anniversary with the revival of Pinocchio, one of the most successful productions internationally.
At Roseland, we continue to focus on an innovative and inclusive stage language that connects with the family audience and transforms each show into an unforgettable experience.
