FOUNDER & CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Dancer, choreographer, artistic director and cultural manager.

She trained as a dancer and choreographer in Barcelona, Paris and New York.

From 1981 to 2006, she founded and directed the Roseland Dance School, and in 1987 she established the Roseland Musical company, where she continues to develop innovative dance performances, particularly for children and young audiences.

In 2007, she was awarded the National Culture Award by the Generalitat de Catalunya, in recognition of the artistic quality of her career.

From 2008 to 2017, she led the Department of Festivities and Traditions at the Barcelona Institute of Culture, where she was responsible for the artistic direction of some of the city’s most emblematic events, including the Three Kings’ Parade in Barcelona, the MAC – Mercè Street Arts Festival, the Santa Eulàlia Festival, the Llum BCN Festival and Món Llibre, dedicated to children’s and young people’s literature. She continued this role as an external artistic director until January 2024.

In 2021, she received the Ramblista d’Honor Award from the Friends of La Rambla Association, recognizing individuals, organizations or projects that contribute to enhancing and promoting the city of Barcelona.

Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous choreographic projects with her company, including her work as choreographer for the film Tic Tac by Rosa Vergés, as well as the artistic direction of the FC Barcelona Centenary and several Special Olympics ceremonies, among other international events.
