ANNE MARIE MBENGUE

She is a dancer and choreographer trained at the Dakar Conservatory of Music, where she graduated top of her class. She has worked with Afro-contemporary and traditional dance companies, performing on renowned stages such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, L’Auditori, the Palau de la Música and the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia.

From 2002 to 2015, she was a member of the Qbamba group, and from 2011 to 2020 she worked as a choreographer and dancer for the Cavalcade of the Three Kings in Barcelona. In 2010, she took part in major festivals such as Grec and La Mercè, and in 2019 she assumed the artistic direction of a cultural project.

She combines stage creation with teaching African dance at both local and international levels. Her work is rooted in African traditions, which she reinterprets through a dialogue with contemporary languages.

He is a dancer and choreographer specializing in Afrobeat and African-rooted urban dance styles. Born in Senegal, he develops his artistic practice within the field of contemporary urban dance, blending traditional African rhythms with current styles such as hip-hop, dancehall and Afrofusion.

He has worked as a performer and choreographer in music videos, stage productions and multidisciplinary projects, both in public spaces and in conventional venues.

His work is characterized by strong physical expressiveness and a direct connection with the audience, with a clear pedagogical and community-driven approach.

He combines artistic creation with cultural engagement, aiming to highlight African urban dance within the contemporary performing arts landscape.

He is a percussionist trained in Senegal in traditional West African percussion, specializing in djembe and sabar.

He has collaborated with artists and companies such as Nakany Kanté, Sidy Diop and África-Catalunya, and has performed at festivals and venues across Europe. Based in Barcelona since 2010, he develops his work as a live musician and collaborates on a wide range of stage projects.

He is a member of the Ngomez Nokass collective, dedicated to promoting African culture through music and dance, and is also part of La Kolmena, a group focused on percussion and improvisation.

He has participated in productions such as Pell de llarinté, cua de tiré at the Temporada Alta festival, as well as events like La Nit de la Dansa.

He combines artistic creation with teaching African percussion at both local and international levels. His work is rooted in African rhythmic traditions, which he brings into dialogue with contemporary expression.
